Who Are We?!

Happy Medium is an independent, family-run comedy show in the heart of Echo Park! The show is hosted and produced entirely by Danny Niquette and his whole family.

The show would not happen without every person in the family contributing. On any given night you can expect to see:

• Kensie (Danny's Wife) physically setting up the show, making sure the lights and chairs and signage are all perfect, running the music, and being the first face people see when they arrive to get checked in. She also has the unique privilege of living with all of the gear and equipment that Danny swore he would find a place to store.
• Megan (Danny's Sister) helping us capture content to represent the essence of the show online, advising us on how to get the word out about the show and creating our entire social media strategy. Not only that, she also stocks and runs our bar, and loads and transports our chairs all over this great city.
• Diana (Danny's Mom) setting up chairs, adding personal touches to the show like signage (even down to the soap dispenser), and perusing the vintage store to find the perfect "stool" for the comics. On shows with lighter attendance she can even be seen on the sidewalk chatting with people and charming them into giving our show a chance!
• Scott (Danny's Dad) rigging up all of the lights and cameras, actively running all of the cameras during the show, and handling every single bit of data organization and management! He is also responsible for any safety considerations for the show. If you have ever been to our show and walked over a taped-down cord instead of tripping on it, that is entirely his doing.
• Janelle (Friend of the Show) snapping incredible photos of the show (including the photo shown here and our family Christmas card photo), making the comics and audience look amazing in her pictures, and editing them beautifully for our use! • Danny hosting the show, collaborating with the comics that he has worked so hard to book, and trying to create a welcoming atmosphere where everyone can feel comfortable and ready to laugh.

And a special shoutout to Skyler (Friend of the Show) for their design work to create all of the logos and imagery that we use for the show and marketing as well as the branded lighters we have available at the show! Our goal is to create a consistently hilarious monthly comedy show which showcases a mix of nationally touring headliners as well as local gems! Our top priority is creating a space where every person feels safe, seen, and ready to have fun and that mission works its way into every bit of our production process.

We take great care to find the funniest comics we can find from a diverse set of backgrounds and perspectives so that every person who comes has the chance to be seen and represented on our stage. The more unique voices we have, the better the show is. Every single time.
